Piano Lessons
Nick is currently accepting a limited number of students
Piano
Nick offers Piano lessons for children and adults. Children can start lessons at around age 5, though some children have the concentration and coordination to start lessons at age 4. For adults, it's never too late to learn to play the piano.
Beginners will learn:
To play with good posture
Good finger technique for the left and right hand
The notes in the home position
To read notes on the musical staff
To count rhythms correctly
To play some fun music!
Intermediate students will learn scales, technical studies, chords, improved dexterity of the left and right hand. Piano lessons include music history and theory to broaden the student's understanding of the repertoire played.
Advanced students will learn all scales and chords along with more advanced musical literature.
A classical training should come first as it provides the foundation of technique and control of the instrument that can be applied to further an interest in any style. Piano lessons for advanced students can include music from the classical repertoire to jazz, pop, rock and much more!
